2nd Annual International Scientific Conference
All praise is due to Allah, who placed within humankind the secret of civilization, elevated their status through knowledge, and made it the foundation of nations and enduring homelands. Peace and blessings be upon the one who guided toward building the earth with justice and benevolence, and established values as the foundation of every solid structure and lasting legacy across time, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow them with excellence.
Thereafter:
In the context of a scientific journey spanning two decades of contribution and accumulated knowledge, the second annual conference of our college in humanities and applied sciences convenes as a milestone that recalls past achievements, anticipates future horizons, and renews the college's commitment to serving society and shaping awareness. It is held under the theme: "The Role of Humanities and Applied Sciences in Promoting Sustainable Development," affirming a scientific vision that believes true development is not built on material abundance alone, nor on abstract technical solutions alone, but rests on conscious integration between building the human being and mastering methodology, between entrenching values and activating tools, and between thought and application.
Sustainable development has become a civilizational choice imposed by accelerating economic, environmental, and social transformations. Yet its essence remains tied to societies' ability to achieve balance between the present and future entitlements, and between legitimate ambition and shared responsibility.
Here emerges the pivotal role of the humanities in shaping awareness, promoting a culture of moderation, and establishing intellectual frameworks that make humanity both the goal and means of development, granting decision-making its ethical and social dimension.
Conversely, applied sciences undertake converting these visions into tangible reality through developing solutions, innovating technologies, and investing capabilities to achieve sustainable developmental impact reflected in quality of life and societal stability. Through this integration, vision complements achievement, value-based construction meets technical progress, within a framework of scientific responsibility and community commitment.
Our conference aspires to be a space for constructive scientific dialogue and a platform for interdisciplinary studies that transcend narrow specialization, seeking to produce knowledge capable of responding to real-world challenges and anticipating future transformations, while affirming its commitment to linking academic research with societal needs and supporting development pathways with sound scientific insights that contribute to policy guidance and decision-making.
As we celebrate the second annual edition, we renew our resolve for this conference to be a new building block in a growing scientific edifice that combines intellectual authenticity with methodological modernity, making integration between humanities and applied sciences the foundation of a balanced, solid renaissance—a call to invest knowledge in creating impact, and to direct scientific research toward serving humanity and building a more balanced and sustainable future, where science is a constructive force, values are a governing reference, and the homeland is a broad field for giving and achievement.
In conclusion, as the college deanery announces the launch of this conference, it reaffirms its firm commitment to supporting the trajectory of scientific research and strengthening frameworks of integration between humanities and applied sciences, contributing to serving our society and nation and entrenching the pillars of sustainable development. We look forward to the proceedings of this conference constituting a qualitative addition to the college's scientific corpus and an advanced step in the path of constructive academic cooperation.
We ask Allah to crown these efforts with success, and to make this scientific gathering a luminous milestone in the journey of research and knowledge, and a launching point for initiatives that contribute to promoting sustainable development and serving the public good.
